Eating

My baby started eating purée at 4m he’s now 9m and after 3 scoops of it he starts gagging like he doesn’t like it. I’ve tried sweet potato, carrot, mashed potatoes, broccoli, fruits literally everything and he keeps doing it with all of them. But I’m eating or his father is eating he wants to get whatever we’re eating with no problem. I’m trynna cut him from drinking so much milk because he’s getting older and I don’t want him to get use to still drinking so much formula. anywho does anyone else have this problem?

My baby was the same way, she is 10 months now. She lost interest in purées. So I switched to BLW and she loves eating food that way. Your baby is probably ready to start chewing on food.

@Leah yesss whenever we do give him actual food he chews it but I honestly just don’t know what to give him. I recently found out he’s allergic to eggs so I be scared to give him food😭

@Vanelys OMG. Do we have the same baby? Lol. My baby girl is possibly allergic to eggs, we gave her some the other day and we followed up with Zyrtec because she was rubbing her eyes and they didn’t look the best so I knew she was reacting to the eggs. What I do is feed her all the vegetables she liked in purée form and just feed it to her whole and she loves it plus chicken. Try not to be too scared (even though I get it) but they will be off formula soon so I’m doing my best to get her used to food.

Yeah it’s the texture. Baby is definitely showing high interest for chewing which is a great time to start.

@Leah yeah she definitely is then because that’s something my baby did & he broke out in hives but the good thing is the allergist said that most likely that’s gonna go away when he gets a bit older so hopefully it’s the same for your baby girl 💕but yes I’m try giving him more of what we eat

@Nai yeah I really do think it’s the texture,🤣

It’s my 4 month old trying to snatch my food like he’s ready to chew 🤣🤣

@Nai that boy ready to eatt😩🤣
