PP preeclampsia?

For about 4 days, I have had a horrible headache. 2 days ago, I started checking my blood pressure. The whole day, it was around 148/86. That night, I went to sleep and woke up to my head hurting bad, so I went to the hospital. My blood pressure was 170/90 when I got there. It went down over 4 hours. I was there to around where it was at home. My urine and blood work came back good. My doctor decided to start me on a low dose of blood pressure medicine. Since taking it, my blood pressure has been good, but my head aches aren't going away. I'm not sure what else to do. I go to the doctors on Wednesday. Has anyone else dealt with this?

Yes, I had preeclampsia a few days ago and needed a magnesium drip for 24 hrs. My headaches went away the morning after the magnesium therapy and my bp normalized too. Did you not have that therapy? I thought it was pretty standard in order to prevent preeclampsia from getting worse.

Similar situation. Definitely call your doctor. They might want you back at the hospital or they might just tell you to take Tylenol

I was readmitted to the hospital with severe pre-eclampsia only 3 days after coming home. I was on Magnesium for a while and now have to take blood pressure meds.

Same exact thing is happening to me

@Anastasiya no, I think because my urine didn't have any protein in it, they didn't want to do that. They said right now they are just treating the high blood pressure and to see my doctor to have my urine checked again. He said I'm on " PP preeclampsia watch" for now. The headaches are so bad.

I hope you feel better soon :( I think for me, it was bc they found elevated liver enzymes
