babies main food/nutrient source should be formula or breast milk until they are 12 months old then they can have regular milk, if tats what you mean by weeninv off formula milk. for foods try fruits and sweeter vegetables puréed as the sweetness is similar to milk,, when i first started introducing foods i did carrots, sweet potatoes, bananas, yogurt, apple sauce, etc. i would have him try the new food once a day giving it 3 bites to make sure he doesn’t want it.

Hi you should not be taking away formula until after 12 months :) the babies primary source of food is the milk for the first year whether it’s formula or breast milk 🥰

It's way too early to wean. At 12 mos. it's safe to start weaning, but even then, it should be a slow process. I'm on #5 breastfeeding.. at 6 mos I start introducing "solids" but I just choose a soft item from my own dinner to introduce each evening after their tummy is full from nursing.

Your baby should stay on formula until 12m, but with our oldest we would give him one bottle a day of formula mixed with a purée, like carrot or apple or banana, that way he still got his formula, but he also was able to get a bit more used to the baby foods before being completely taken off formula. Just substitute the purée for the formula, so if your baby takes an 8oz bottle then you could do 2-3oz of purée and fill the rest of the bottle with water and formula, shake it up and you’re done! 😊

It this age the babies are supposed to be eating more baby food than milk. So I get if you’re trying to limit it.

Baby needs formula until 12 months.

It is misinformation to say that babies are supposed to be eating baby food instead of formula or breastmilk before 12mos. Until at LEAST 1 year formula or breastmilk should be baby's primary nutrition. Everything else should not be considered nutritional but more for allergen exposures, promote interest and preferences.. "food before 1 is just for fun" (not exactly but sort of..)
