Playroom ideas

I’m setting up our conservatory as a playroom. I wondered if anyone had any tips on things to add that work really well. It’s not a huge space so want to be clever about what we buy / how we set it up! Baby is only young at the moment

Commenting/following for the tips & suggestions also :)

Also following for tips!

I've currently got a car play mat/rug down in our playroom. I've also got shelves/units with easy access soft tubs for toys to be put inside (we currently have wooden bricks and some duplo in them). Make sure you secure the units to the wall. If you are setting up in a conservatory it might be better if you get those toddler friendly low units and the toddler bookcases (they sit on the floor). His grandparents are buying him a play kitchen for Christmas. Lots of bunting on the walls to look at and we really want to find a bean bag or toddler chair. IKEA also have fold out desks for messy play/colouring/painting. I'm excited for him to be big enough to use it all!

We’ve got the IKEA Trofast and Kallax units for toys. I’d recommend having a few toys out on display (Kallax unit is good for this) and having the rest away and doing toy rotations. This is an old Instagram post on toy rotation and a good page to follow for ideas. https://www.instagram.com/reel/CgwbqaJFn6R/?igsh=MW52eHl6ZmoyOHlqMg==

@Sarah ooo love this. What did you use the jazz them up?

@Sarah that’s super cute. I’m so torn because the reviews seem hit and miss about the drawers being good after a while but I love that they can access them easily when she gets older
