Waiting game

I went for a private scan as soon as I found out I’m pregnant! She confirmed the pregnancy but it was too early to see the heartbeat, it’s supposed to be 6 weeks but the doctor said it’s maximum 4 weeks in. The anxiety I was going through every day was unbelievable! At first I had no symptoms apart from tiredness and bloating, I needed a little reassurance. Just make sure you take your folic acid and try to eat healthy! I’m sure everything will be fine! Stay positive! ❤️

I’m not in this group but popped up on my feed… I remember this, crippling anxiety it was all-consuming. I felt I had no choice but to have positive thoughts. Every time the worst would enter my mind, I was try my best to replace it with a positive thought that my baby is okay and will be okay. I also booked an early scan I think it was before 6 weeks! I think if you are at a point where you’re struggling to concentrate on day-to-day life and the anxiety is taking over, it may be worth getting some professional support - the first trimester feels like a lifetime! ❤️

It’ll fly by, even though it doesn’t feel like it right now 🙈 I had two early scans on the NHS with my first (6 & 7 weeks) then had a private scan at 7 weeks with my second, have a scan booked for 6+3 this time, helps with the wait 🤣 I just self referred to maternity services today and will get my first appointment through in 2 weeks for booking 🥰

I phoned my midwife team as soon as I found out to book my first appointment, you don't need to wait x

I called our local midwife team and they told me to call back at 7/8 weeks for the booking appointment (which can be done over the phone) and then I'll get a letter for my 12 week scan date. It does feel like a lifetime

I self referred at 3 weeks, despite it saying only self refer at 6 weeks! I got an appointment booked in straight away but it’s not until 8 weeks x

I did my self refer today at 4 + 3. Won’t get to there apt till 7w I’m going to book a scan tho privately at 6w
