Screen time

How long are you letting your toddlers watch the telly for? I feel like with the weather turning bad I’ve been relying on it abit more atm. She’s never been that interested in toys unless I’m sat playing with her and even then I’m lucky to get 15 mins. She’s mainly into climbing up things which is fine unless I need to get things done which is where the tv comes in. She’s also been getting into old Disney films atm and in the morning can get through quite abit of it before getting bored. I’m worried she’s not playing with toys/having because of screen time and she can often have quite afew tantrums in the day but I don’t know what the “normal” amount is!

We watch about 30 mins every 2-3 days during the week, usually while I'm making dinner and then she watches a Disney movie on the weekend with her dad. I try and limit it during the week as much as possible!

We watch abit every day and I’m not worried. I have an older child too so find it harder to keep it away this time round. They watch abit in the morning while eating and getting ready and then abit later in the afternoon/ evening. I’d the weather is good we tend to be outside playing and it’s usually around activities. She enjoys it tho and learns things from it 🤷🏻‍♀️ we not very wel atm so had it on quiet abit today but I tried to do playdoh or paint pens and stuff in between. So what you have to, nothing stays the same forever they will become more independent with things weather you watch tv or not imo

We don't do screen time. She can hold attention for 0 to 10min at a time, but I just get her involved with whatever I'm doing. They're not meant to plane independently at this stage, your LO sounds exactly how she should be

We have been resorting to tv more than used to, I think the weather like you say and she seems to want me to play a lot more than she used to she used to be good at independent play so if I want to get stuff done il put it on for half an hour
