One pack of casserole beef, toss it in flour and then fry it for a few minutes to sear, set aside. then chop 2-3 carrots, about 5-6 sticks of celery , a large onion (I fry these for a few minutes to soften and release flavour) and if you fancy it a handful of button mushrooms - then pop it all in a slow cooker with a squirt of tomato purée, about a litre of beef stock, some mixed herbs and a bay leaf. Cook on high for 4 hours or 8 hours on low. It’s delicious! This feeds our family of 4 with good leftovers too - makes a great pie mix too.
