Christmas tradition ideas

Anyone have some cute ideas? I want to do a few things that are pretty easy to maintain that I can do every single year and make/have sweet memories.

St Nicolas day! December 6th….. on the night of December 5th you get your kids to leave their shoes outside the front door..( or you can choose a special place) St Nicolas visits overnight and fills the shoes with goodies( usually gold chocolate coins, sweets, little toys, money, anything small that can fit inside of shoes) to be discovered the next morning…. Advent calendars. Amazing all the cool varieties you can find on Amazon now (traditional chocolate, toys, perfumes, books, teas, makeup, cheese!! lol) …. My family had a vintage wooden LL Bean one we would bring out each year. my mom would put little treats or rhyming clue savager hunt notes that led to a surprise inside the calendar boxes . I loved waking up to check the calendar and see what I would find!

We’re starting Christmas cards! Idk exactly how yet but def starting that. We also want to do matching pajamas and in North Georgia you can ride a train that’s designed like the Polar Express where you meet Santa so we want to make that a tradition too

we have a local park that decorates for christmas and has a station where you can write letters to santa and they make it look like it snowing! that and i want to make diy ornaments with the kiddos maybe the week before christmas. Then the obvious milk and cookies for santa and carrots/celery for the reindeers! Oh and we are going to be starting an elf tradition as well. just not the elf on the shelf ones, they creep me out lmao we used the Elf Magic brand when we were kids. Theres honestly so much you can do. One christmas movie leading up to christmas. Picking out a tree together. Decorating stocking. Building gingerbread houses. But you get the point lol if you need anymore suggestions feel free to message me.

Christmas cards, matching pajamas, Christmas art crafts that can be decorations, yearly ornaments, advent calendar, baking (let my baby girl help when she's bigger), caroling, visiting the fancy hotel that has an annual fancy gingerbread exhibit (last year the Broadmoor made a vintage boat with Santa inside) Most of all I want to take my daughter to the North Pole a few months before Christmas so she can visit Santa and ride the rides, it's such a cute little amusement park for little kids 😊 I'm excited to make traditions of all the holidays
