Gift ideas

I’m sorry for saying the C word so early!! Our families are asking us what gifts we’d like for our LO this Christmas and I’d like to be able to plan in good time so they can shop around and know they won’t be duplicating and it’s something that’s going to be suitable for his age. He’ll be 6 months on Christmas Day. Has anyone started to think about this, have any ideas on what toys are best for 6+?

We had this discussion the other day. We said a token little toy for them to open and if they wanted they can put cash into premium bond for him. (He already has an account) and my family lives abroad so it’s easier for them.

Books, bibs, cutlery for weaning, bubble bath, light up ducks for the bath, bath toys (there is a bubble frog we are getting), baby bath seat (for when they can sit up unaided), new outfits in the next size up, personalised bag (for when they start nursery in April). Teething toys ect. This is our second daughter so we already have lots of toys appropriate for her age packed away so we don’t feel we need more.

We've just asked for money for her bank account or clothes 9-12 months+. We already have so many toys from my eldest we have hardly any room. We are just buying her nappies and wipes 🙈 My LO is 6 months on Christmas day too ❤️

I asked my cousin this bc she has two children, and she said at 6 months they like toys they can interact with eg stacking cups, feely books and pop up toys. That's what I'm going for I think

Baby food blender, sit and play toys, baby high chair, personalised water cup etc

I’m planning on weaning around then so I’m wrapping up all the weaning bits I’ve bought just so it makes me feel better that he has something to ‘open’ 🤣 He’ll get a few stacking toys and books too of course but not many at all! I think I’m going to ask grandparents to get him a simple wooden play walker to help encourage him to start standing x

I've asked for personalised items, jewlery and money for her. All items which will be with her for a long time. However I have also said, it's up to what you want to buy too. As I know how hard it is to walk away from cute baby items. Everyone loves buying for a baby - so I'm not about to ruin that for anyone. I have pretty much brought everything she will be needing for the first year of life

Our LO will be 6 months just after Christmas and I think it'll be a great age as there's more toys they can interact with, he'll be starting to wean and will be needed the next size of clothes shortly after so lots to buy!

We're asking for vouchers for all the music, swimming and sensory classes she's doing.
