FTM SAHM

My daughter is 15mo. My mat leave pay just ended and I miss having a bit of disposable income to buy things for myself or baby. Now I have to run everything by husband and we never have money. Is this the case for other single income families atm? Located in Canada

I’llq lol

@Misbah yes it is! I used to work remotely but for not a great company that micromanaged and wouldn’t let you step away to use bathroom so I couldn’t imagine going back while also needing to look after my LO. Toddler is very attached to me but I would need something that I can do at my own pace

I go thru this. I’ve just had to make life adjustments honestly. Learn to find joy in little things. I started cooking more, and baking. I learned I absolutely love baking and never really took an interest in it before. Plus you can practice for when baby’s bigger and can eat! Nobody wants to be cleaning all day but I’ve made a pretty good hobby at rearranging my house and I get tons of free stuff off fb marketplace for my house which has made not being able to spend money on a tight income still satisfy my shipping addiction lol as for baby they love just doing things with you. Especially so little, I used to just wrap up my son and get to it. I also gave him tons of tummy time, he’s super independent now and hes 8mo. Having one income is tough and I feel for you. I just wanted to lyk you’re not alone 🫶🏼 good luck mama 💖
