Is anyone planning on baking their LO's birthday cake themselves?

So I plan on making my little boys birthday cake myself this year but would love to know what recipe others are going to be using? Was thinking a normal sponge cake would be full of sugar but then again it's his birthday and it's not like he gets it often or will be having a lot and it's also something others can enjoy?

I am ! You only turn one once🥰 we’re good with sugar intake normally but this is an exception so go for it !

Im just going a normal sponge btw !

Yes and we’re doing a normal cake. He’ll eat so little of it if any and it’s one day! We don’t normally give him sugar and we won’t after his birthday but as someone else has said you’re only 1 once!

I made the ‘What Mummy Makes’ Celebration Cake for mine - it’s low sugar and full of fruit! X

I’m a cake maker so I was going to! If you need any tips or anything pop me a message! There is diabetic cake recipes which have low sugar so they might be helpful xx

I am! I’m doing a party, I’ll be making a vanilla sponge 3 layer cake with buttercream and jam! A little sugar won’t hurt for one day! It’s not like they’ll eat much of it anyway x

@Nicole do you have any egg free recipes please? I can do the milk free with her butter but the egg who knows 🤣🤣
