Name struggles

Hi Ladies, I am still picking a name for the baby. With my Slavic origins, I wanted to remain the legacy in the name but my husband is not accepting any suggestions. We are also trying to pick a name that could be pronounced almost the same in both languages. We are also late in the baby game and many good names are already taken in the family or by friends, thus, we excluded many typical international names (ex.Anna). Could you check the list below and advise if any names look bad or sound strange for Us/Canada? Which one seem to be the best in your opinion? Thank you! I like the names that are a little unique but still beautiful! I don’t know any Katerina’s or Esme’s but love those names. Whereas, I know a lot of American Emma’s, Charlotte’s, Miranda’s. But go with the names that speak to you 🤍

Every Emma I’ve met is so sweet and nothing short of amazing 💕 also Isabella is nice, Estelle, Esmeralda.

@Hanah N.... thank you, Hannah, for the feedback and suggestions!! Miranda was at the top of my list but I am questioning it now. Katerina/ Katherine is another option since this is the name of my best friend and she named her daughter after me, but I do not have a strong feeling for the name itself.

I love so many Slavic names. Many are at the top of my own name lists. So many on your list are good, so I'll just answer your other question honestly about which ones might sound different in the US: in my opinion, Miroslava, Elvira and Esmeralda might be more surprising names, (but Esme is very nice. )

Would you nickname her Mira? That would be really pretty too. Miranda was popular in the us several years ago so I don’t know too many babies with that name now so still a good choice!
