Oatmeal

My baby is 5 months and one week! We tried oatmeal this morning for the first time. She loves it and kept wanting more but I didn’t wanna overdo it as I know we’re supposed to ease into it. But now what? Do I give her more later today? Or just a little everyday!? I can’t wait to introduce fruits and veggies but everything online recommended oatmeal first for baby’s under 6. When do you recommend I start fruit?? And which one first do y’all think? Honestly love this platform for real advice as online always is mixed info and her pediatrician leaves it up to me

You can do fruits and veggies oatmeal is outdated

Just stuck to once a day for now as it’s just for fun and don’t switch up too often

@Chauncieya ok thank you! Yes I’d love to skip the oatmeal and go right into fruits and veggies. She’s not sitting on her own yet but sits fine in her little booster seat thing.

I skipped cereal all together and started with sweet potato then let her try a little avocado and last night she had apple for the first time. Once she turns 6 months and is sitting up unassisted I’m gonna do baby led weaning

My baby is also 5 months and a week old. He doesnt like oatmeal but when i mix it with fruit or veggies puree he eats a little. And around 4 pm i give the same puree that i mixed with oatmeal in the morning. We use homemade purees as well as beech nut stage 1 purees. Purees i gave to my baby Sweet potato Carrot Pumpkin Green beans Apple Mango Strawberry Teething crackers

Mine is 5 1/2 months and we did pear puree today. I’m thinking I’ll do just once a day until 6/7 months then twice a day then 9 months I’ll do 3 meals a day

Yeah I’m also so confused ! Like once a day?? Once every other day??? Once a week??? I’m not even sure 😅

Im doing the oatmeal once a day and let him try fruits and veggies, he’s not super into the fruits but we’ll see Also ~5 months right now

Pediatrics just said wait a day or two between new foods Idk if that’s the recommendation for everyone as my son has some allergies already (I also have several)

Pediatrician said to me one new puree every 3 days just in case there's an allergy.
