Daycare feeding schedules

What’s your babies daycare feeding schedule? Our sons at home daycare has complained that his feeding schedule isn’t something they can support. I get it as it’s difficult to try and fit in solids and bottles, coupled with naps for one kid, let alone multiple at different ages. We’ve been told that bottles are still key source of nutrients, but they had been feeding solids (purées) first so he wasn’t taking his full bottles. Trying to see what other daycares do to fit it all in.

Our daycare follows our feeding schedule. Bottles every 3 hours, solids 1 hour after bottle. Naps going down between 9-10 am and 1-2 pm. The only thing they have ever complained about is that he only does 2 naps and sometimes gets cranky at 5 pm, but I am like “nope, do not put that baby down at 5 so he says up until 10 pm 💀”

Our daycare schedule looks like this: Breakfast (solids) - 8:15am Bottle - 8:45am Nap - 9am-10am Lunch (solids) - 11:30am Bottle - 12:30pm Nap - 12:45pm-2:45pm Bottle - 3pm Snack (solids) - 3:15pm We try to follow the same basic schedule at home

@Kate does your little one wake and eat at home at the same time every day?

@Mellisa do the breakfast solids right before the 8:45 bottle affect the bottle at all? Do you feed at home before daycare at all?

@Courtney my girl is an absolute piggy and eats tons of solids and drinks all her milk (5oz bottles) lol...we nurse before daycare, but no solids before daycare

Yes-ish. I try to keep it around 6 am but it’s really anywhere between 6 and 6:30 am. And I usually let them know when he had his last bottle when I drop off.
