Pooping on the toilet…

Following as I’m my daughter is same age, as she does the same. Although we get the occasional poo on the potty, majority of the time she seems to do it in her knickers would prefer to change herself to pull ups then does it. So need the tips to conquer the habit she has as well.

@Amberley - Yes my girl will do the odd pop on the toilet but most the time in her pants! 😭 tried to bribe her and everything but nothing works 😂

My son still poops in his nappy at nighttime. Occasionally he goes on the toilet but it's rare. Not sure how to encourage him. No advice but you're not alone

@Amberley try using underwear. She may have some accidents at first but then she will realise I don't like how it feels. My sons 3yeara 4 months and I managed to toilet train him . I use underwear as the pull up he got too comfortable in. The training in pull ups didn't work at all. I told my son that if you go toilet then I'll get you a prize at the end . He loves spiderman so he got a spider man toy. Don't give the bride after one time going toilet. After two weeks give the prize. I learnt briding early will not help my little one train to go toilet. Also I got him spiderman underwear so he would wear them. Get a underwear character he or she loves.

Grace is the same. She holds it in and gets constipated 👎 she’s on medication now to keep it soft. But when I ween her off she goes back again (just in the middle of it again) hoping she just grows out of it x

@Rohini she wears underwear. But always goes and finds the pull ups that we have for night time. But I’ve now hidden them, and only got 1 out at bed time. 🤞 fingers crossed out of sight she won’t try changing her underwear to a pull up during the day. She manages her wees on the potty or on toilet, just won’t do poos on potty or toilet. does them in her underwear, some times she holds it in for a couple of days.

@Amberley I did the pull ups at night . It confuses them so I put on underwear on my little one. I spoke to a children centre Practitioner she said don't put a nappy on. My son doesn't like nappies now.

@Amberley maybe show her you do number 1 and two in toilet. It might help her go toilet. My son has always seen Me go toilet and think he has copied me. It might help.

I’m massively struggling with potty training. Daughter is 3yr4months. Cracked the toilet but only with no bottoms on, now trying knickers and it’s just mess after mess. When we go out I use pull ups or at pre school other than that when we’re home it’s bottom half off from when we wake up. My daughter is also behind on speech which doesn’t help trying to explain things.
