I’m finding the mums I would want a friendship with live in a different country or very far away. The mums I’ve spoken to in my area just aren’t my sort of person on paper. Obviously if I met up with them maybe it would be different but no one seems overly keen to go past the ‘hi, how are you?’ Stage

@Promise omg, what?!? I believe you, but I’m new here, and I have not experienced this! I think it’s awkward because people will just write things like, “How’s your Sunday?” And it gives you basically nothing to go off of. Women to women, you’d think we’d be better at the conversation starter part. I like all of the threads more than the 1:1 convos.

I have yet to have a friendship translated into real life. It really is hard! I'm hoping after the baby is born to find some good mommy and me groups in my area.

Very much so. I get messages or send them and it never goes past the “hey how’s it going phase”. I think we all need to get out of our heads and just say yes! You never know, we might find a new BBF. Speaking to myself here too lol

This totally feels like a dating app for mums! And just like dating, I think - at least in the beginning - it is a volume game until you find people you can click with. On the ghosting and lack of responses though, it may be because pregnancy and motherhood are such timesucks. I'm guilty of responding to many messages late. Not because I don't want to engage, but because life is just SO overwhelming, busy and stressful sometimes I'm barely coping as it is!

I can't speak for all but I really try to respond within 24 hours but there are times might take me a few days to respond as I do have a busy life being a single mom to a 4 year old.
I know the feeling. Was supposed to meet up with mom's for a walk but never got back to me....and plus I'm barely on here.
