Refusing to poop in potty

Hey mama’s my 4 yr old little girl is refusing to poop in potty and I think it’s because she doesn’t want to stop playing and doesn’t like the sensation of sitting down and pushing out the poop…she said it doesn’t hurt and she is not constipated…she has like 2 bms a day…I have tried everything but she keeps saying she doesn’t want to but does really well with going on her own to pee in the potty…any suggestions?

Same exact issue with my 4 yr old boy!!!!!

Maybe some freshly squeezed orange juice to encourage the poop. Or loads of fresh milk.

I had this problem with my boys. My older one it took a reward cart that I’d he filled it he got an expensive toy. He got used to going in the potty. My youngest son, we made a huge deal like he saved the presidents life every time he did it, also he likes being able to take my big iPad in there while sitting.

If there's a certain time of day or place they typically run off to poo in their diaper. Try and catch them when they show signs of hiding or running off and sit the down on the toliet with a tablet or candy/chocolate. Also make sure and toss the diapers/pullups. When they have to sit in their poo in underwear it feels way worse and the diapers can kind of keep them in their comfort zone.

@Morgan yes my LO does do that lol and yes no more pull ups or training panties

@Reese maybe I have not found the right reward yet…right now she is screaming because she doesn’t want to pee in the potty…I think this is more of a power struggle
