@Melissa I did still didn’t help 🥹
This is a totally normal part of post partum life unfortunately. I’m going through it myself at the moment. It’s all linked to hormones and it’s basically your hair cycle getting back to normal as you don’t shed as much during pregnancy. There’s not really anything you can do to stop it but it will slow down and get back to normal after a couple of months.
It’s very normal and it will pass
Second what Lauren said! My hairdresser also said to me (coz mine is realllyyy bad!) That it's hair that you shouldn't have kept anyway so it may feel like all your hair is falling out, it's not. You aren't alone, every time I brush my hair or redo my pony tail I have a lump about that size come out!
Yah it will pass. I started to have PP hair loss at 4 months. It just stopped at 7months. And now im 9 months PP, my hair went back to its usual volume.
Have heard about postpartum hair loss but Is it possible to have hair loss during pregnancy too? Weirdly I have bad hair loss, 24 weeks pregnant now
I’m in the same boat! 4 and a half months postpartum? Do you think getting a big chop would help, mine is 5 x that amount of hair and I’m freaking out
I had this for a few months so I started taking vitamins that contained biotin, used a volume shampoo and used less heat on my hair. I also had it chopped into a bob so it didn’t look as bad.
Yeah my hair started coming out about 4 months pp and started to improve by the time my son turned one. Now it’s coming out again at an alarming rate but I seem to go through these cycles so I’m not too worried. I find cutting it shorter does help.
I know you’ve said rosemary oil. Make sure you’re using a natural oil and not something synthetic that contains additives. You can boil the plant and add in rice water. Use it as a spray. Add maybe some biotin to your daily supplements. Let me know if you need some good recommendations!
Mine only lasted 2m. I was taking multis, hair skin nails, and another hair vitamin. I also use Coco and Eve voluminising shampoo and conditioner
I'm in the same boat
Dude this is happening to me too!
@Madine I myself is very shock as my hair never fell this way and i get depressed i feel I’ll be bald sooner

@Hannah did you chop off ? Or just kept your hair the same way ? My husband was like you don’t Need to chop off but I only know the struggle honestly
How long does it take to stop losing hair
@Kellie i started using gummies,ayurvedic shampoo,rosemary oil but I feel it’s not helping n also I don’t wanna chop my hair
@Aba if you’ve just started then you need to wait at least a couple weeks consistently to start seeing results. I’ve always had long hair I haven’t chopped it as a mum, it’s shorter than it used to be but still “long”…I have nothing coming out on my hairbrushes maybe a couple strands. 4-6m PP is also the peak hair loss stage for mums so you’re smack bang in the middle of that phase…just keep going hun
This is majorly due to your hormones. I used argon oil mixed with rosemary oil and I still take my pregnancy vitamins, but I’ve always had estrogen dominance, so I only had hair loss for a month. All is well now and has been for a few months. I’m almost 9mo PP and my hair is super long (down to my butt), so don’t worry!
