Not a breakfast eater

I myself I’ve never been much of a morning eater, usually I make myself a coffee and I am good until about lunchtime. My little one seems to be taking on that trait, in the sense that when I try to give her any kind of food in the morning she may have a couple bites if I’m lucky, but then start feeding the rest of the dogs. Does anyone else experience this? I want to make sure she is having three meals a day where she is eating enough.

I’ve always kinda been the same way personally. Maybe waiting a little bit longer after she wakes up?

Have you tried different foods to see if it's just a preference? My son prefers sweet leaning foods for breakfast and savory for other meals. I initially thought he didn't like breakfast, but he just didn't prefer the foods I was feeding him (eggs, oatmeal, meat). I now do yogurt with fruit, homemade oatmeal and fruit bars, toast with homemade fruit spread and fruity pancakes.

I have tried a variety of things for breakfast; eggs, pancakes, blueberries (which she ate up until recently) and other fruits, baby food, baby food with oatmeal mixed in, crackers. She’s just not super interested in eating a decent serving, other meals though she eats way more.

@Sarah Gotcha. Just keep doing what you're doing. A little breakfast is better than no breakfast. Also, if you're not eating with her for breakfast, that could play a role too. Maybe a granola bar that you break into pieces, so it takes you a while to eat it. Sending lots of love!
