Removal of polyp before FET

Hi! Has anyone been found with a polyp during their stimulation and have it removed before their FET? They spotted this for me and I'm just trying to find out the process how this works (how long does it take to recover and if you have to wait before a FET). I have a saline sonography booked in to check if it's material and am all lined up for a transfer next cycle but not sure what happens and the implications if the polyp needs to be removed. Thanks!

I did at my baseline scan before I started stims, it cancelled the whole cycle and I had to get it removed. Ended up having to pay £5,500 to remove 2 polyps and managed to resume ivf 7 weeks later. This was last December and I’m now 23 weeks pregnant

Thanks Jen. How was the removal like, was it quick and painless and did you have any sedation or D&C after? And you said this was done before you started any stims? Congratulations on your pregnancy 🙂

I had a polyp removed before my last FET and it was done during a Hysteroscopy under general anaesthetic so you don’t feel a thing. They also did a D&C at the same time to ‘tidy everything up’ x

Yeah I was under general anaesthetic and had hysteroscopy and d&c. I found it fine, wasn’t too painful and didn’t have much bleeding. Got my period 2 weeks later then started stims on my next cycle, the fresh transfer failed but my frozen one worked in May 2024

Thanks for the comments, these are helpful!
