Large baby and diabetes
I had a 28 weeks scan and Itcame back baby is larger then average! I have had a glucose test today but now a little worried I may have gestational diabetes due to the baby being larger! Anyone else had this issue!?

If you and your partner were large babies it could just be genetics?

@Amanta fingers crossed it comes back negative!! Had a consult today and she just said we will see you in clinic to see how he is and what we have to do next, if he needs to come out early etc so I’m assuming he’s rather large ahah!
He definitely could be! They told me similar things, to be aware of possible induction or c section. But plenty of people told me that the measurements could be wrong, so to not stress about it too much. Plus we are having a girl so I'm hoping it can't be that big 🤣x
I got diagnosed at 10wks been a long slog as was on insulin from day 10+1

Yes had exact same one! Had my glucose test yesterday and was negative for it, also tested for taxoplasmosis etc and came back negative. Just a large baby I believe 🤣. Head in 93rd percentile 🤣x
