Struggling with blw

How do you fit In food for your 6 month old while dealing with your 2.5 yr old toddler aswell. I want to try blw properly this time and give steamed veggies, avocado make homemade pancakes etc and watch my baby eat them as well as help him. But I’m also running around after my toddler trying to clean and cook etc. so I just resort to powder porridge and pouches the quickest things I can find. Some days I don’t even fit in solid food for my baby and the day just slips out of my hands. before I know it it’s 6pm. My toddler mainly ate purées when he was a baby so I want to do things differently but struggling with the timings as they’re both demanding. What times do you fit in your baby’s food?

Im also finding it difficult to get meals done in the day, so much more cleaning up when blw too! I find it easier to try in the mornings before chores have built up. Also something thats quick and my baby loves is chunky cucumber sticks, requires basically no prep and isn’t as messy as banana for example.

I only have one but I find it so tight getting it all in while making sure he has his bottles/sleep if we go off schedule the whole process is messed up and will likely need to miss a dinner or if we chose to go out it’s difficult to feed!!

I also only have one and have been a lot more overwhelmed by it than I thought. I find it’s so easy for time to run away and I just feel like all I’m doing is cooking/ feeding / cleaning up alongside EBF. We’ve not even started on dinner yet as he’s not very interested and gets agitated around eating

Its definitely hard to find time to cook! I started with foods that more or less require no prep i.e banana, avocado, cucumber. He’s now on 3 meals a day and on days I’m short for time I do something quick like scrambled eggs, beans (mashed) on toast, veggies and humous, tomato or cream cheese pasta! I also try (when I can be bothered 😂) to meal prep some meals when he’s in bed and build up a freezer stash xx

@Remy these are some good ideas I think for the first month or two I should stick to simple no prep foods just to get him used to holding and putting food to his mouth
