First dental appointment

Our LO has her first check up today. Has anyone else had theirs yet? Just wondering what they do haha. I assume just having a quick look at their teeth?

How do you book it? Do all children supposed to have it? I tried to register her with a dentist but not a single dentist in my area accepts NHS patients

@Heidi I asked at my dentist when I had an appointment and she just added her on. They said she can have hers the same time as mine going forward. I think as soon as they get teeth they can have one

Just registered my LO at the only dentist taking on children near me (but they won’t take me on). Made an appointment for him, November 2025!!! I’m really worrying x

It went fine, she did cry but all they did was have a check around in her mouth and record what teeth she had. Took around 5 mins. Got to go back in 6 months now!
