Opinion!

Today I turned in some money someone had dropped at the local grocery store! My 5year old found it and I figured I would show him how to do the right thing! Everybody tells me I should've just kept it but, I would feel terrible if the person went to pay for groceries and realized they dropped it and that be all that had. My husband says I should call and see if anybody claimed it and if not see if I could get it back? What do y'all think?! I mean I could really use $100!đź«Ł

You did the right thing.

That’s very honorable of you and Ihope you are Blessed 10 fold!

Who ever you gave it to more than likely of took it. But you did do the right thing if it's not yours if theft still. You taught your lil correctly x

You absolutely did the right thing. Think of it this way....what if it was that person's last bit of money to feed their own children or it was there to purchase supplies for a very sick relative if you took it you'd be making a person suffer. You did the honourable thing and taught your little one a very important life lesson on honesty. Everyone else telling you to keep it is honestly shady and I'd be questioning their morals at this point

Unless it was inside a wallet or you physically saw who dropped it, you probably should’ve kept it. Only saying this because people typically don’t backtrack physical cash because there’s no telling where they dropped it. So whoever you gave it to most likely just pocketed the money. You did put good karma back into the universe! So you should have good karma coming your way.
