Crazy MIL

Is always saying your stomach is upset and saying you are very ill to your stomach two different things. My MIL always says her stomach is upset. But tonight she said that she as very ill to her stomach. My girls and I left her house as soon as she said that. I am now being made to feel like I was wrong for leaving. Am I wrong for leaving when she said that.

I would take them both to mean the same thing, that she feels sick to her stomach, so she either has a stomach ache or feels nauseous. But I don't think it was necessarily wrong for you to leave. I know when I feel nauseous or have a stomach ache, I'd want people to leave so I can go to the bathroom in peace and not feel like everyone can hear what's happening 😅

She said in those words? It sounds like improper English. Like “sick to my stomach” sounds like an expression. I’m confused lol

Stomach upset is code for runny poo. And sick to my stomach is code for being annoyed. That’s here anyway
