Preeclampsia

So I may have preeclampsia and I'm kind of freaking out, does anyone have any comforting thoughts or advice?

I had preeclampsia and got induced at 39 weeks. It all worked out, had to get blood pressure monitored throughout labor which was super annoying but baby came out healthy and relatively quick :). Vaginal birth as well. Had to take blood pressure medication up until my 6 week appt and still being asked to monitor every week but looking better :).

I had my boy in 2022 but he was born 3 month early because I didn’t know they signs my buds would hurt and get thinly and my feet hurt and was tired way more normal that a normal pregnancy but I would track your blood pressure and blood sugar and if you start swelling/hurting I would go in asap it can get serious fast

I had mild preeclampsia before birth that didn’t affect me too bad but had went in for induction at 38 weeks and ended up having a c section at 38 and 1. It wasn’t until after birth that it got out of control but my doctor said that was common for African American women. Just keep your head up, express any concerns and ask all questions to your doctor. They are there to help you and understand this is a stressful time. My baby boy is almost 5 months and came out completely healthy and still is, try not to stress too much mama.❤️

I'm having tests run tomorrow to check for preeclampsia and I understand how you're feeling. All I can say is you are not alone and just get all the rest you can get to focus on you and baby. ❤️

I had it with my youngest. I know it can feel very scary. They will likely monitor you closely to watch for symptoms and talk about possible induction. My youngest broke my water before my induction, but everything ended up being OK. Just try not to stress and keep a close eye on your bp at home.

I had preeclampsia and was induced at 37 weeks. My blood pressure was monitored the whole time i was in hospital and had to have medication afterwards. The birth was relatively normal but he’s healthy now and i am too x
