Depo??

Hello, so I started the depo shot again almost 6 months ago. I got my second shot almost 3 months ago. They told me after my second shot I would no longer get my period which is what I wanted due to how bad mine are. I was supposed to start the first week of September and I didn’t so I thought “hey it’s working thank god” but then today I’m sitting on the couch and all of sudden I feel wet. I got up and sure enough there it is. I thought I was supposed to not have my periods. Should I be worried? Should I call my doctor?

They literally can’t tell you if you’re gonna get your period or not considering it works different for everyone. I personally haven’t got one but I know some who got a period non stop, but I would definitely have a follow up appointment on it

So was it ur normal period or a lite period. If light it will be slowing down it just takes time to kick in An really no Dr should tell u period will stop it takes time each person is different an also after 5yr look into a different shot If u been on it before an it worked for u than I would stay on it but I was on it for so long I'm not going back but I do miss being on depo I would in a heartbeat but with everything I hear no thanks Good luck

@Katie it was actually quite heavy which is my usual. I went a month and a half without a period after my second shot. And I’ve been on the depo before back when I was 16. My periods stopped after the second shot. So I figured that’s how it was gonna happen this time around. I love the depo. Only because it’s the only thing that works for me.

@Danya I’ve heard of a few people that had their period for like 3 months straight. But I’m just confused as to why I went a month and a half with no period and then all of sudden bam here she is.

I’m definitely gonna call my ob in the morning
