Second trimester pretty rough

So I’m thankful and grateful to be pregnant with our little one (found out we’re having a girl) but who ever said that the second trimester would be a break before entering the third; I wish I was them. I have had non-stop nausea and heartburn thru the first and still having it. It’s hard to find foods to eat when I already know that I’m gonna end up with heartburn. (No matter what I eat or drink; I end up getting heartburn) I take tums like they’re going out of style and Pepcid they’re not helping. Sorry for the rant; I feel like I’m losing my mind 🥲

Ugh I’m sorry… I really hope it gets better. When I had really bad heartburn with my daughter I drank a cup of milk and that honestly worked. You can try that, I hate milk so I had to plug my nose lol.

prilosec!!! that was the only thing that helped when I was pregnant with my first, but remember to take it every day

This!!!! 1000 times this you aren’t alone!!!!!! I’m here for you! All I keep saying is the people who say the second trimester is easier are definitely not anything like me. I have all this and for whatever reason I’m so tired all the time no matter how much I sleep.

Okay so hear me out…I’m a long time GERD sufferer even before I got pregnant. Heartburn and reflux is usually actually due to low stomach acid, not too much. What works for me is eating pickles/drinking pickle juice. I typically do before bed to help with my blood sugar at night as well and I specifically eat Grillos. The acidity of the vinegar really helps out my stomach with digestion. Could be worth a try? And tums and Pepcid will make the problem worse with long term use so definitely don’t bother with them anymore if they don’t help. So sorry you’re going through this! Heartburn sucks.

Nausea has been off and on for me but I get random waves of it and random gagging and gas pain! Had good appetite for a couple weeks but it's down again and nothing is good. Rice and pastas makes me gag lately. Oranges and pickles are good and I'm trying to avoid potato chips but they're among the few things I can eat but I always over eat them and feel sick after.
