There's a load of Facebook groups on BLW too that I've found useful. We just went straight in at 6 months with the same food as us pretty much. It says baby is 6mo on your profile so she really doesn't need to eat much solids, I think it's something like a tablespoon worth a day. My LG eats some but it's up to her how much/what she eats and it's up to me to provide her a balanced diet with food modified to support her feeding herself (mostly cutting into fingers or quartering). Solids shouldn't be filling her up, breastmilk or formula should still be what fills her up.
@Carys Yeah thats what they say but she’s eating 3 solid meals a day plus snack atm- milk just wasnt cutting it anymore she has 2 bottles a day and its a pain to get them in her cos she’s just bored from it 🤣 but now the purée shes getting bored of too lol so wasnt sure how to make sure she is still getting all her calories but with food she can eat herself.
@Elle I’d really reassess and maybe get some advice from a dietician. At only just 6 months that’s far too much food, and not enough formula. you don’t even introduce snacks until they’re over 1 year.
@N 💞 thankyou but shes assessed by health visitors frequently due to being in neonatal and she attends a nursery every week both of which see no issue with her diet- some kids just eat better than others like some kids walk early…
Solid starts is a great resource to show you how to prepare age appropriate foods
