Dinner time

How is everyone giving dinner to their 2.5 year olds? Do you always sit at the table, how do you keep LO at the table and concentrating on eating? I'm having trouble getting my LG to sit and eat dinner without running around the house! Am I asking too much as she's so young still?

My girl is still in her high chair for main meals x

My 2.5 year old sits at the table on a normal chair, I did have her on a little booster for a while but she's tall and wanted to be the same as her 3.5 year old brother so I got rid of it. I always eat with them or at least sit with them with a drink if I'm not hungry. If she starts losing focus I offer to help her and do some spoon or forkfuls for her til she's ready to do it again herself. She can get distracted and get up and down a couple times but I just remind her we need to sit at the table to eat and she comes back or says she's had enough x

We all eat together & she's strapped into her booster seat at the table so she's can't get down & run around. She often asks for help she doesn't need just for attention.

We will sit with her at the table but we are also going through a similar phase if we are all eating she’s better but if we aren’t I don’t force her to stay but if she wants to come back to eat she has to sit back up at the table x
