Jack McCoy

So my husband loves first name Jack or Jackson for our first baby boy. I don’t love Jackson just because I know so many families who have named their sons Jackson lately, but I don’t know any Jacks, so I like that better. I have always liked McCoy for a middle name, which my husband likes too. So we were thinking of Jack McCoy and then my friend informed me that there is an old man lawyer character on Law & Order whose name is Jack McCoy and I’m trying to decide if that ruins it for me 😂 what do y’all think? Did you think of Law & Order when you read the name?

I much prefer Jack to Jackson! But yeah I don’t think the character sharing a name is an issue because it’s not a huge character within pop culture. But also it’s just a middle name so just change it if it bothers you. Macoy maybe?

I love it! I had the same thing happen with my first! We named her Ellie May just to find out about some character on a hillbilly show 😂 but when we think of it, we think of our princess 💗🤷🏼‍♀️

Plus she goes by Ellie so no one has to know if she grows up and hates it 🤷🏼‍♀️

Definitely thought of law and order 😂 but not many people will use his middle name so if you love it then go for it!

@Tiffany Jory I kind of figured he won’t go by his first and middle name anyway so it probably doesn’t matter too much… but I don’t want people thinking I named my kid after law & order 🤣 Ellie May is super cute!
