Pulling back the foreskin is done in my culture to ensure that it's clean properly. My siblings also taught their boys how to do it properly from a young age. I do not have a son now, but more than likely, I will be doing the same thing when I do. Reason why, since moving to the UK, I heard from a few of my friends that most men here have an odour on their private part because they do not pull their foreskin back and clean it. I once mentioned it to a guy I was with, and he said that he was never taught. It was a big difference when he started to. Honestly, I'm not sure if they start it at birth or a few months in. No shade to anyone. I just didn't want anyone attacking me because I noticed it since moving here.

No attacking at all! Just following NHS medical advice and what my doctor told me, which is that foreskin should not be pulled back and cleaned as it can cause damage and be painful for them. Until it begins to retract on its own you shouldn’t touch it. But it should be taught once it begins to retract on its own, usually between ages of 5 and 10 x

Thanks, guys. Understand your points. @Becca I wasn't the original poster, so my comment wouldn't be anonymous 😁

Ahh make sense. Sorry, I assumed you were the OP! Lots of people don't seem to know that when they post anonymously their replies would be anonymous so I thought you may have thought the same.
