Where is the time going?! 😭

She sat upright on her own without any support for the first time today (21 weeks) at Jiggy Wrigglers. For a good while as well. Really proud of her but also how the hell did we get here so fast?! There were a couple of 5/6 week olds at the class today and it just made me realise how fast it's going ❤️

Well done clever little one!! My little one is trying so hard to sit! Do you have any recommendations on how to help them do it? Anything that's worked for you?

@Jamie to be honest we haven't really been trying so it was quite a surprise today. She has been pretty solid being upright for a while but I didn't expect it to be solo sitting time just yet! I think today she was just so mesmerised by everything she just put a lot of effort into being nosey and without really realising it was holding herself up. One thing I did try to do was place her hands on her knees and this stopped her tipping towards too much. She did wobble to sides a couple of times but corrected herself which again was just because she was trying to hard to take everything in so it was almost an attempt to not lose sight of anything 😂

Actually @Jamie she has had a bumbo-style seat for a while now and I think that's probably really helped her get a feel for which muscles to use to keep from wobbling. She spends a bit of time each day sitting in it, I put things on the tray and she has fun batting them off! Maybe something like that might help if he likes being in a seated position but still needs that bit of support.

Thank you! Yes I have been thinking about one of these because of how much he's just decided he doesn't like being laid down now! Even rolling over he's like NOPE I want to be up and see things more. Think I'll have to invest ☺️ It's crazy how quickly they are learning these things isn't it!

@Lisa he did it!!!!

@Jamie awwwww!! Well done little man! ❤️ That looks like a proper sturdy sit as well 🙌

@Lisa haha I wouldn't say sturdy but he did maintain it for a little while. I got all emotional!

That's exactly how I felt, proud and excited but mostly overwhelmed by how fast the time is going!
