Letrozole heavy bleeding

It’s my first letrozole cycle. My period is unusually heavy even on CD 4. Is this common while taking letrozole?? Seen somewhere letrozole might cause heavy bleeding for some. I am taking letrozole 5 mg from CD2-6. Will my period become lighter after CD 6?? I am really worried as I have follicular scan on CD12 and if my period didn’t stop then.

I had heavy bleeding due to taking the provera but not the 5mg letrozole. It will get lighter as you continue to take it

Thanks @Patrice How long does the bleeding last when you first took provera?

@Gayathri my average 7 days. The provera is oeriod inducing so it can cause heavier periods. The letrozole helps the follicles mature and help you to ovulate so i would say by day 5 or 6, it will become lighter. I use to take letrozole 5mg from days 3-7 and by the 6th day or so, the bleeding was coming to an end. Even if you still have your period, on cd12, i know my clinic does an ultrasound to give them an estimation of when period will stop.

Ohh that’s a relief. Let’s see. Thank you @Patrice

@Gayathri you're so welcome
