I just blend whatever veg or fruit I’m eating and give it to her, have since 4 months. I’ll used puffs and rusks to introduce solids and now she has Atleast something solid 2 times a day even if it’s a puff but just to keep the notion. Try yoghurt with some fruit purée in or just buy baby yoghurts, they tend to go down a treat
Thanks Both. She actually doesn't like mashed banana but will try a little if she can eat herself. She actually enjoys fruits but not veggies which is what I'm worried about. Have I ruined her pallette by giving her mainly fruit and not veg?😔 Do you try veg at least x6 to see if they like it. As in when you're Blending the veg you're having how many times do you give it your baby if they refuse it She does like puffs. I know some babies are just not into purees. I'm just trying to establish how long I keep trying purees before I stop. As in how many diff veg
Even if they do like veg, they’ll go off it again g 18 months 😅 Mine was really good until last month he refuses everything so don’t worry! No you haven’t ruined their palette, try veggie patties. Mashed veggies with cheese and potato, bit of flour and lightly fry them. Or mash veggies potato and mix some gravy so the consistency is still smooth.
Thanks @Sophie really appreciate you replying and your reassurance. Was worried I'd turned her off veggies as she's only mainly had fruit and loves it. Will definitely try the veggie patties. Thank you 💜
Honestly they’ll change their minds off and on until they’re 16 😭 I even eat a full on roast dinner in front of him thinking he will want my food…. But no 🤣 as long as they’re eating something that’s the main thing. If it makes you feel better, the other night we had 3 scotch pancakes for tea 🫠
Try some toast. Their gums are harder than you think. Try with mashed banana on them or simply butter. Not sure if you’re in the UK but at your 6m apt they should give you a guide and shows the consistency of foods at each stage of weaning. Also Joe wicks or what mummy makes is a good guide if you’re completely lost.
