I do think men don't think before they talk but I would 100% suggest saying something. Your feelings are hurt accidental, or on purpose. Get to the bottom of it if you think he mean malicious of it and if you think he didn't tell him that you don't mean to cause a fight but his words hurt. In this case you're not overreacting. Society does push that opinion of a woman's part on blast a lot.
