I had it with my second and again this time with my third it’s been REALLY bad, to the point I had a nervous breakdown. With my second I rang the doctors who put me on meds and got me to do a stress management course. The skills I learnt definitely helped. This time I actually had a massive panic attack and was having suicidal thoughts so ended up back in hospital. I’ve had talking therapy this time which was REALLY hard to begin with, reliving everything that happened but I feel in a much better place now. Getting out of the house has helped, even just for 10 minutes for a walk. But even that brought me so much anxiety to begin with! Honestly nobody tells you how much work you have to put in if you want to get better.

Hey there, Yes, I’ve dealt with postpartum depression, and it was really hard to navigate. Aside from medication, a few things helped me manage it: 1. Talk to someone– Having someone to share your feelings with, whether it’s a therapist, a friend, or a support group, can make a huge difference. Just knowing you're not alone is so powerful. 2. Self-care– Even small things like a shower, a walk outside, or a quiet moment with a cup of tea helped me feel a little more grounded. It’s hard to prioritize yourself, but it’s so important. 3. Routine– Getting into a loose routine with my baby helped me regain some sense of control over my day and reduced anxiety. If you’re looking for more support, I run a postpartum support community on Discord. We share tips, experiences, and just lean on each other through the ups and downs of motherhood. I def have depression. I just keep going. Tried therapy but it was not a good fit. I just walk when I can and listen to music
