Bit haphazard here, so far just whatever I can serve baby friendly style from our family meals. So far it has been maize porridge, yoghurt, pea puree, courgette and sweet potato fingers. And a floret of broccoli. Tomorrow morning probably oatmeal with grated apple or pear cooked down as that is what his brother wants for breakfast. We've only just started so keeping it to 2 opportunities to taste max whilst his system adjusts and then more in 2 weeks. He already gets a bit grumpy at the table if there's nothing for him 😂
We have only just started about a week now and my lo will only have around 3 or 4 spoonfuls of steamed blended veg and I give her a finger version of that veg so she can feel the texture and play and see it herself. There's no right or wrong really as long as your lo is enjoying the process! At this point quantity doesn't matter as milk will still be their main source of food.
Hello! My little one is 7 months next week and we do breakfast - this is either porridge, mini oat pancakes with yogurt and fruit or egg cups. I then do lunch which is normally some form of fritter, fruit and puree! My boy didn’t really enjoy puree so he just feeds himself, 90% of it ends up on the floor anyway 😂
We struggled at the beginning, but now lo will have boob first thing in the morning, then about 30-40 minutes before nap a small bowl of wholegrain cereal. For lunch same principle just 3 or 4 ice cube size frozen pureed veg. And after that, either some fruit purre or a melty finger. Only today tried some yoghurt. I hope I'm doing it right 🤷🏼♀️
