Absent from nursery

I can’t see there being any harm as in to babies routine or anything like that but there may be a cost implication. Many nurseries want you to commit to x no. of days so if you have a day but aren’t going then that’s fine but you’d still be charged. Some may have some flexibility on this, I’m in London and very little would as the demand is too high. You could formally drop the day which if you give the right notice would be fine but then have to hope you can pick it back up when needed. Could try to put a request in for that at the same time. It’s certainly not as straightforward at some places as one would think! But some places may be completely flexible. You’d just have to ask your nursery what their policy is.
Our old one logged all our absences and got annoyed at us for keeping her out 🤦♀️ I thought I was back in school being monitored on my attendance 😂 our new nursery doesn’t care but I still send her half days when I’m off so I can get all the housework done

They just said to me that our absence from nursery was high and asked why/if I would shorten her time at nursery. After that I made sure it was different days of the week so we didn’t lose our space on a particular day though just in case x
Surely if you are still paying for the space they can't be funny with you? 😬
@Charlee I know I think this too but I had to up her nursery days to 3 days to get the funded hours (obviously ended up much cheaper than paying for 2 days as I was before the funding) so I don’t want them to think I’ve upped her days just for the funding but not going to use it and them take it away from me lol x
Ooh gawd all this funding stress 🤣🤦♀️ hopefully it will be fine if you explain to them that you're off so on AL so have some fun things planned? Maybe mix the days up so its not always the same if you can?
Our nursery wouldn’t mind as long as we tell them in advance.
