Weeing in car seat

Looking for some advice! We’ve been potty training our 20 month old daughter for about 1.5/2 months now. In the beginning she was great but for some reason she always wees in the car seat and I’m at a loss on how to get her to stop. She’s always offered the toilet before we go out, she can even do a wee, but 15 mins later when we’re getting out of the car she will have done one in her car seat and I’m not sure why. Even when she hasn’t drunk much she always seems to do one. I’m at a loss on how to get her to stop this. We sometimes put nappies on for car journeys but I don’t want her to think it’s okay to wee in the car seat and I’d prefer to keep nappies for sleep. It confuses me as at nursery they don’t even put a nappy on her for a nap as she always wakes up dry, yet she can’t go 5 mins in the car without doing a wee

Doing great for not even being two yet. We used pull ups until my daughter was dry. Any car journeys or long outings we'd use pulls ups and nickers at home. In the car with the movement and everything it's harder for them to tell. I find even for myself car journeys being on needing a wee. I can go all day without going foe a wee but any car journey I need to go every 40mins lol Your lil is doing great, lay back a little don't stress. Most kiddies I know wasn't toilet trained till at least 3. X

@Siana I know in my head she’s doing great, she’s the only one in her nursery room being potty trained as they don’t usually start until the move to the next room at 2! And she did so well to begin with and I think because I know she’s been able to go longer without weeing in the car that she can do it, but it just seems like such a set back because we was doing so good. But I know what you mean - I think it’s just a time thing and we’ll have to just carry on with the pull ups for journeys. It just seems so silly putting one on to go to nursery 15 mins away but then she ends up having to change her clothes there anyway because she’s done a wee 🤦‍♀️

My daughters nursery would change them into their nickers when we got there. And they'd put a pull up on when we collect if we ask them to. They won't have a problem with it. They'd happily help out.

@Siana ours does this - I’m worried my 23mth old is getting confused by switching between pull ups and pants

@Francesca mine didn't lucky enough. Everytime I put the pull up on I explained it's just incase as we don't want wee wee on the car seat otherwise we can't go out and do things while it gets washed and dried ect. She started hating the feeling of being wet so would generally go on the toilet/potty. We'd have her in pull ups at home aswell to protect the fabric sofas.
