Portion sizes

Ok so recently my boy has been eating soo much! He still breastfeeds on top of this. He ate all of this for lunch plus banana, strawberries and blueberries. I gave him a smaller portion yesterday but it was all gone in literally a matter of minutes and he was looking around for more so today I gave him this! Should I be worried that he’s eating so much? 😂 am I giving him too much and he’s just not knowing when to stop? Or is this just a totally normal amount for a boy his age? He is very tall!

I wouldn't worry. He's feeding himself. Might be about to have a growth spurt.

Sounds like a growth spurt is inbound. But also some LOs just really like their food. The theory of babies stomachs being the size of their fist has never been true for my son. He downed 300ml bottles in one sitting at 4mths and want the same again 2hrs later. Now he does similar to your son when he is having a growth spurt and equivelent to just the plate of food when not haha (he is on the skinnier side as well for his height, so who knows where he it fitting all the food).

I'm trying to see what's on the plate, I see carrots, green beans, avocado and is that omelette? That's probably more than mine eats but is also quite a lot of veg. Maybe he needs more carbs/protein to help fill him up?

@Lauren they’re egg, spinach and cheese muffins. He had 3 of them 😊 Yes, thank you. This is just one day, one meal! I give him foods with pasta, rice or sweet potato (he hates normal potato 😂) most days and he does exactly the same!
