Is it okay to let my one year old skip tea after his jabs?

He's had his 1 year jabs today. He had a big bowl of strawberry and banana weetabix before we left (like 2 weetabix, a whole banana and lots of strawberrys), and then for lunch he had cheese and avocado on toast with a kiwi and a yoghurt and ate most of it, left a few pieces of toast and some kiwi slices. But now it's tea time and he's refused everything. I gave him cottage pie to start with (his absolute favourite) and he wouldn't touch it at all so I thought maybe he just didn't want anything hot (he is sporting a mild fever, 38.2) so I made him a sandwich instead and he's refused that too. As a last resort I thought I'd give him another yoghurt but shocker he's not having any of that either. He has a bottle of milk just before bed, not sure if he'll take that yet but we'll see, am I okay to just let him be? I don't like the thought of him missing a meal but I'm just stressing him out by offering him stuff, and obviously he has eaten today so it's not as if he's completely empty

He's had plenty of water throughout the day as well

You've offered plenty so I'd leave it now

He is probably just feeling bad. I'd let it go and try again at your next meal.

The great thing about toddlers is they only know to eat when hungry and stop when they aren't. As long as you are offering food and he's drinking lots of water still its okay to leave. My kiddo went off her food for rhe day when she had her jabs and then the following day she made up for the lack of food the next. Even now at almost 2 she sometimes has no appetite, especially when teething and eats very little. Normally within the week she's made it up by stuffing her face the entire day! X

Thank you for the advice everyone❤️ he's had most of his bottle so I'm less worried now. He's never normally one to turn down food so it's just so out of the ordinary for him. Hopefully he'll feel better after a good night's sleep and he'll be back to being a bottomless pit tomorrow😂
