Pregnant with ADHD and taking medication

Hi everyone, I’m really hoping to get some advice from anybody who knows or has experience with ADHD diagnosis and actively taking medication whilst pregnant. I know that there are no concrete evidence out there to suggest that medication is very harmful for pregnancies but I have been advised it isn’t the best idea. I have tried to reduce but it has a really bad impact on my mental health and I was unable to function especially with my demanding job. I’m just wondering if anybody else has taken ADHD medication while pregnant and what the outcome was. I’m nearly 13 weeks and I really would appreciate any feedback. I have been referred to the Perinatal team and I have requested some more therapy because I found this very helpful, thank you so much for any advice

Perinatal teams are way more up to date on meds while pregnant. I don't have ADHD but I take anxiety and depression meds. The perinatal team helped me a lot. Most of the meds I was on didn't have enough studies. I was able to switch a few, but I stayed on a few with not enough evidence. Mom's mental health is very important during pregnancy. I think meeting the perinatal team and doing more therapy will help a lot. Just make sure you are under doctors supervision while reducing your meds. They will have specific amounts to take and for how long so that it is very gradual. So make sure you get specific instructions on how to reduce.

I took vyvanse my entire pregnancy with no ill effects 🙂

Took Adderall my entire pregnancy and 7 other mental health meds no problems caused by the medication
