Finishing work for Mat Leave
Is it normal to have some sort of closing meeting / debrief with your manager before going on maternity leave? To answer any questions I have or explain any keeping in touch? Did anyone else have this?

Yes, it's normal. I have had a couple this week with directors and the MD as I am a manager, and this is my last week. It's just to ensure things will run smoothly in your absence and wish you well x
You may have to ask for it if its not offered. My manager and company is VERY chilled so don't always think to do these things
I’ve had my meetings with HR had 3 all together my last one was a week before I went off and on my last day I handed everything over to the lady who is covering me and just had a meeting with my manager which was more a goodbye and wishing me the best etc! I pretty much discussed everything I needed to know during and for after baby is born with HR!

I had one with my manager on my last day. I am team lead so basically she wanted to ensure that my responsibilities has been passed on etc. Your manager may need the same from you and also to officially say bye and wish you all the best:) mine didn’t ask if i will be keeping in touch and even if she did I would say hell no 😂
