Help with potty training.

So on off I’ve been doing it and my 22 month old has a potty at my mums as he is there most of the day throughout the week whilst I work morning shift and afternoon shift. I have finally got round to ordering a potty for our flat. He has been butt naked most of the day and has 2 accidents. The first wee was caught half way by the potty. If I try to put him on the potty myself he will winj. How do I go about consistently with the potty training and what to do etc.

Is there any reason you are starting now? Clear signs that they are ready? As before two would be very early for most.

Try a reward system. I recently found out my kid absolutely loves temporary tattoos. So, everytime she goes, she gets a new on. She has a full sleeve on one arm right now and gets excited to go. Some regression here and there until we take out the "bucket of fun". My little one only had 2 accidents from Friday to Sunday night.

@Lisa a few reasons was because he pointed at the potty and said wee wee, poo poo. He voluntarily sat on the potty himself even though he had a nappy on. Most nap times/bed time he wakes up dry so I just thought I’d give it a go

Our son was showing all the signs at 20 months and has been potty trained since ! We didnt had to do anything specific just listened to him always to make sure we heard when he was asking and then trying to be quick we still have accidents every now and then . We didnt do any reward as he was asking to go so not peing or pooping himself was enough of a reward for him
