I waited until after my 6 week exam to confirm my stitches were healed. I also had a second degree tear and I wasn’t willing to risk anything opening back up or getting an infection from the friction lol
@Zoe oh god really??? I couldn’t have thought of anything worse after 3 weeks 🤣 did it hurt?!! I’m terrified 🤣🤣🤣 what position did you find the best 🤣
@Mariah I have a doctors appointment which will be 8 weeks because my doctors apparently don’t do 6 weeks they do 8 weeks but baby is also getting his jabs then too. So will they check stitches etc??
No they don’t do any physical checks at 8 weeks - basically just ask if you are coping
Haha I just couldn’t wait 🤣a lot of people say that! It did hurt a little bit but not as much as I thought it would! I reckon you’ll be fine! I found missionary the best or on my side. Basically the less deeper positions (doggy, legs over etc) they hurt but even after a few days that didn’t hurt x
@Zoe I mean we are struggling to wait 🤣🤣🤣 but I can’t even bring myself to shave down there which I’m gonna need to before any action happens 🤣🤣🤣 x
Just take it a slow pace if you are not fully convinced, we are all different and heal differently. Just be gentle to start, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I've been there, I have two children. Both I waited around 5/6 weeks, and it was fine. 😇
I say brave it and shave it 🤣🤣 just be careful, it’s really not as bad as I thought it would be at all it’s more the idea of it.

Tbh I only waited 3 weeks and I had forceps/second degree with stitches lol. For you with the extra few weeks I’m sure it will be fine! It might be a little uncomfortable but just take it slow, I found certain positions were worse than others!
