It's YOUR birth, you decide who is there and who isn't. I'm not sure what he's trying to achieve by bringing up social workers, they can't and won't influence who is in attendance of a birth. Tell him no, if he kicks up a fuss, just don't tell him when you're in labour and inform him when the baby's born x

@Emily he has a habit of bringing his 4 year old adopted sons social worker into it when she isn't involved with baby he acts like a child spits his dummy out of the pram because he can't get what he wants like he's told alot of people about my pregnancy and I've told him a few times a baby isn't something to be bragged about a baby is a blessing x

He has no right being there, the midwife’s won’t let him in if he turns up and the social worker shouldn’t get involved with another child who is not on their caseload or been referred You don’t need to tell him anything either, so when you go into labour or even when baby is born. You have parental responsibility he doesn’t until on the birth certificate Sounds harsh and is at the extreme end so you may not need it but you are in control, he can create a fuss and throw his toys out of the pram but legally there’s nothing he can do. Don’t be scared and feel pressured tell your midwife and they can make a note and will reassure you x
