Birthday party???

So who’s throwing a birthday party to celebrate their baby turning 1 year old? So I definitely want to do something to celebrate my baby girl turning one and I just want to know what you mamas are doing to celebrate! I definitely want to have a party for my girl of some sort but I’ll have a 1 month old baby in February as well and I’m so scared of baby boy getting sick. It’ll be cold/flu/RSV season and I definitely don’t want to put him or my daughter in any type of risk. I was thinking of just doing a small gathering with my boyfriends immediate family and maybe 5 of his friends but even that scares me. I live somewhere cold where it does snow so I’m not sure about going out to do something that day as a family. If anything I’ll probably baby wear and my excuse will be to go to the nursery and breastfeed him lol. Please send me your ideas, I would love to hear them 🫶🏼

i’m currently debating between throwing her a party and just going to hawaii lol. if i do a party, i’ll rent a space and have a company set up a “soft play” area. i’m only hesitant for a party bc we don’t have other baby friends. so it would basically just be all out adult friends lol

My daughters 1st bday is in January 2025 we are planning her “fairy first birthday” party we are asking all those who have been sick or even felt sick ish in the past 2 weeks (prior to party) to not come and we can set up another date if they want to see her! Definitely do a party, 1st birthdays are so special not just for the child but the parents as well even if it’s just you, your bf, and the babies have a little party at home!! 🤍

I’m in the same boat. I’ll have a 1-3 month old in February when my little girl is turning 1. I’m still planning something for her birthday. Immediate family and some extended (I.e. aunts, uncles, grandparents) but with RSV season and I may have a preemie, we’re definitely trying to be careful. But I’m thinking you’re one-deer-ful or holy cow I’m one. Dad’s a hunter and I’m obsessed with cows. But my daughter loves raccoons so I may think of something raccoon related. Just set the boundaries of sick, snuggles and sneezes.

@Megan THIS!! We did the same with my first daughter, asked all who felt sick to please stay home. And plan to do the same with my youngest in February. Not sure on theme yet, but definitely planning a first birthday!! They may not remember it, but we do 🤍

@Marycruz omg definitely do hawaii! Before finding out we were pregnant again, we were planning on going to the Dominican Republic for her first birthday. I say yes to the party too if you really want to have one! We also don’t have any friends with babies so it most likely will be just her.

@Megan I love the theme 🥹 that’s so cute! I was thinking of that theme as well but we read her the Peter Rabbit stories and maybe we’ll stick to that theme but do Flopsy instead. I also love that idea of asking those who have been sick to not come. If I do a small party, I’ll definitely be adding that in the invitation! Thank you 🫶🏼

I’m debating on a birthday party or just something small with dad and me. It’ll be cold here so we may just go somewhere warmer.

Small family party. It will still be flu and RSV season. I’m a respiratory therapist and overly cautious with sick people etc
