Shouty mum

Never thought I’d be a shouty mum but I am really struggling with my 2.5 YO behaviour. She does not listen at all. I find myself losing my patience with her very quickly and raising my voice at her. I obviously feel awful and try to apologise after. I’ve tried breathing techniques etc. but she just has me in a constant state of stress. With her I’ve tried time outs. Counting to 5. Redirection. Nothing seems to work. I’m currently 8 weeks pregnant so very tried and this isn’t helping. Feel like shit. Need to vent. 😓😮

Ohh hun. I feel you. I hate that I am a shouty mum and trying to work on it. Raising two alone, working and currently on minimum sleep due to teething is taking a toll. You are not alone. If I find any useful resources, I'll share them. Congrats on the pregnancy btw x

I feel the exact same way, my sons is 3.5 and my youngest is 16 months His tantrums are sooo hard to deal with and he doesn’t listen to anything I say and if it’s something he doesn’t want to do he just has a melt down and hits me and he can be so horrible to his brother . He can be so lovely and caring but it’s the hardest thing to deal with and I’ve tried everything Time out Calming toys Sticker chart He goes to pre school 3x a week and they said he’s amazing there and so good at sharing . I just feel like none of my friends have this with their children I feel so alone some days x

@Rhianna I just keep hoping it’s a phase 🫣 I feel awful like I need to work on myself to get better patience etc but when do we ever have time 😰

Well for me it’s got worse and worse and I always think will it ever get easier 😩 I do think sometimes am I just really bad mum but then I know I’m not but all children are different . I’m definitely more patient than my partner but I think my little boy thinks he can get away with more with me as I’m a bit more soft 😆

Same!!!! I instantly feel guilty but then it happens again. Lets hope this phase goes quickly for both us and the children....it has to be a phase right?! 😬
