First birthday?

Any ideas for first birthday? I’m planning on hiring out a little room same as we did for our gender reveal. I’m not really sure what to do for the birthday? Smash cake idea? Food? Also what presents? I’ve added some photos in the comments of ideas for presents but i dont know what would be appropriate for a one year old. (I’m struggling financially so im looking now, there’s a sale in Argos so id like to utilise the sale)
